How do I record adults, eggs, and caterpillars of the same species?

Avery Chan Jul 30, 2014 11:13AM EDT

How do I record different life stages for the same species, such as 1 adult, 2 eggs, and 3 caterpillars.

Hi, in step 3, you will see a button appear that says: “add details/photo” once you insert in number in the box left of a species name in the checklist. Click on it, one of the options will be life stage. Click on it to have a dropdown of 4 options (egg, caterpilar, pupae, adult). Select the life stage of the observation you are reporting.

If you saw more than one stage during the same outing, you can add another stage by click add species at the bottom of the page once you have finalized your submission. Simply add a number in the box left of the species and chose a different life stage.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have more questions,

Sincerely,

Max.
